1. Definition of Key Terms

Detention Australia: Detention is calculated from the day of availability at the terminal to the day of empty return to depot.

3. Remarks

  • Free Time calculated from the first day of availability and is based on Calendar Days, Saturday and Sunday are counted as free days.
  • All prices subject to 10% GST. (Goods Service Tax)

Container Demurrage at Terminal

As local practice, port related charges (i.e., storage charges) are directly settled by consignees to the terminals.  Carrier is not involved in the computation and collection of port storage charges. For more information, please refer to below links of the local ports.
