The official language in Bangladesh is Bengali, though English is widely spoken. The capital of the country is Dhaka, and the country has two ports: Chittagong and Mongla. Bangladesh's main attraction is the 8th Century Somapuri Vihara at Paharpur, an impressive archaeological site covering 11 hectares.
