Bulgaria is located in Southeastern Europe and is bordered by five countries: Romania to the North, Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia to the West and Greece and Turkey to the South. Geographically and climatically, Bulgaria is noted for its diversity, with the landscape ranging from the Balkan Mountains to the mild Black Sea coast. Bulgaria's major river is the Danube in the North.
