From the night of August 7th, large-sized vehicles, especially container trucks, have been forbidden from entering the following areas:

• The four downtown districts namely Shinan District, Shibei District, Licang District and Sifang District
• 308 National Expressway in Chengyang District
• The major towns surrounding the government building of Chengyang district of Qingdao City

The situation is estimated to continue until the end of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. No official announcement has been made.

This might impact our door service to customers if their premises are located within the restricted areas. We strongly advise our customers to make preparations well in advance to avoid any unnecessary delays. OOCL Qingdao office will also try our best to arrange medium and small-sized lorries for cargo connection to / from the restricted areas upon agreement with customers.
