Introduction of OOCL Tariff Surcharges Effective 1 October 2008 in the Asia-Mediterranean/Europe Trades

Please be advised that effective 1 October 2008, OOCL will introduce its own set of surcharges to be compliant with the upcoming EU competition law in the Asia-Mediterranean/Europe Trades.
OOCL will introduce replacement surcharges independent of the former conference system on the 1st of October related primarily to fuel, currency exchange, and terminal handling. These and any other surcharges put forth by OOCL will come under regular and periodic review upon sufficient advance notice.
OOCL's new BAF and CAF surcharges for the month of October 2008 will be as follows:

OOCL BAF and CAF will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
As for our new Terminal Handling Charges (THC), please refer to the appended pages for the details of our THCs applicable to ports in both the Asia-Pacific and European regions. They will also go into effect on 1 October 2008.
