Grand Alliance announces temporary suspension of LPD service in Far East-Europe routes

The member lines of the Grand Alliance, Hapag-Lloyd, NYK and OOCL, have decided to temporarily suspend their LPD Service between Far East and Europe with effect from November 13, 2011 until further notice. The last sailing of the service will be OOCL China OCI 36W45 ETD from Pusan on November 6, 2011.

However, the Grand Alliance is still offering a variety of services between Far East and Europe covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings. Customers currently using the LPD service can book on other loops accordingly.

The Grand Alliance, formed in 1998, is the leading integrated consortium in global container shipping.
