According to legend, Chinese Kungfu martial arts originated from the Shaolin Monastery (first established in AD 495) at the foot of Mt. Song in Dengfeng county, Henan province. For more than fifteen hundred years this Buddhist sanctuary has blossomed and withered, only to bloom again. It has seen glory and humiliation. It was burned down three times; it has produced countless Kungfu masters and patriotic heroes; and generated many legends and mysteries.
Today, the Shaolin Monastery and Martial Arts are synonymous in China and around the world, and humble students from all over the globe make their way to the Shaolin Temple to learn the legendary skills of martial arts from the real masters.

The show, Shaolin Warriors , is much more than a Kungfu demonstration. The four "acts" in the production symbolize the seasons of summer, autumn, winter and spring and present the profound philosophical theory that rests at the heart of Buddhism.
Shaolin Warriors presents the magnificent and rarely-seen temple life of the Shaolin monks: Their Buddhist meditation and martial arts training during the coldest and hottest times of the year. In addition to the breath-taking Kung fu show, the audience will come to understand some of the doctrine of the “Unity of Zen and Martial Arts.”
