​​One normal working day, I received an email from our administrator. She asked me to be the Christmas Party emcee of this year. This is a tradition to select an emcee from new joiners, especially in the HKIE colleagues. I hadn’t imagined this would become a valuable experience, but I just realized this would be interesting so I committed the mission.

Just a week later, a manager told me that there will be a special guest in the party, our ex CEO Philip Chow. Thus, it turned to be a very critical and challenging mission.

At the party, with nervousness, I greeted our ex CEO when he arrived. Philip gave me a warm handshake and smile, comforting a “fresh and small potato”. Then I stepped on the stage and started the introduction……

I was exhaust and bended over on my desk after the party. However, I was proud to give a memorable party to our department. Suddenly, someone patted my shoulder.

“Well done!” said by Steve Siu, the director of our department.
