​HKIE Graduate Sharing - Becky Yeung from OOCL Logistics Projects team 

Hello everyone! I am Becky Yeung from the OOCL Logistics team. I joined OOCL in July 2010, through the HKIE Scheme “A” Program.

I contribute to the development of VendorPodium and deployment of Podium applications in Hong Kong. As part of the program, I have gained hands-on experience developing Java web applications and working with other teams. Through task discussions and technology sharing sessions, I gained more knowledge on logistics business and technical skills from my teammates and senior colleagues.

As Scheme “A” Program trainees we have an open environment to share our experience working on various projects. Advice from senior colleagues and discussions with other trainees stimulate us to think more and do better. A recent visit to OOCL’s data centre illustrated the advanced technologies and security systems on data protection and disaster recovery. I was impressed by the Production Service team’s “Take It Personally” spirit on monitoring and maintaining all production servers 24/7 to ensure high-quality IT services are available all the time.
