Hello everyone!

My name is Shuna Ho. I have been working in the IRIS Equipment (EQM) team for about nine months now. I am glad to have had the opportunity to work in this team, because I have been able to expand my technical skills as well as learn about the shipping industry. Working in this team has helped me to understand container life cycle, shipment booking, container forecasting and planning, etc.

Real Time Inventory is the core of what our team develops. It is a useful tool to look at the overall picture of containers, which are all around the globe, instantly. With the newer version of IRIS, it will become more comprehensive and sophisticated.

In a development team like EQM, all phases of the project, from getting user requirements, to design, development, testing, and release, are all well scheduled and planned. This makes my work organized. All I have to do is to complete tasks according to the project schedule. It is actually quite exciting to compete with the tasks’ scheduled time, which makes me feel energetic every morning to rise to those challenges. On the other hand, I gain a sense of accomplishment if I can finish the tasks ahead of schedule.
