OOCL Announces New Office in Sri Lanka

 

OOCL is pleased to announce the establishment of a new office in Colombo, Sri Lanka, effective 1 January 2007. The opening of the new office follows the completion and conclusion of OOCL’s joint-venture agreement with its current agent Sri Lanka Shipping Company Limited, effective 31 December 2006.

Mr SL Chong has been appointed Managing Director for OOCL Lanka (Private) Limited (OSLL).

The establishment of the new OSLL office will enhance OOCL’s development in the Subcontinent market and will provide OOCL’s customers with a new Vital Link to world trade.

 

“The OOCL Sri Lanka office is part of our extensive enhancement of the whole region,” said Mr SC Chan, Managing Director of the Straits and South West Asia Region of OOCL.

 

“With real time connection to OOCL's renowned integrated global systems, our dedicated OOCL colleagues will serve our customers in Sri Lanka with our usual OOCL global service quality. The new office will also enhance our strength in linking the Subcontinent and Middle Eastern countries to the rest of the world,” continued Mr Chan.

 

From the capital city of Colombo, OSLL will cater to the diverse needs of domestic and international businesses; offering exceptional international maritime transportation and logistics services, and further strengthening OOCL’s position in the market.
