Canadian Export Cargo Filing Requirements The following notification is for Export from Canada only. Effective 16 May 2005, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) requires all export carriers to confirm filing of export information with CBSA for Canadian export goods, prior to loading shipments for export. USA exports routed to Canadian ports for export are not affected by these changes. OOCL requires these declarations by the exporter or forwarder be presented to OOCL Customer service in writing (by e-mail or fax), by the submission deadlines outlined below. The declaration can also be the shipper's instruction provided to Documentation. Specific Government Export filing numbers must be provided, which may include Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED); G7 Electronic Data Interface (EDI); Summary Reporting; or Manual B13A references for the goods being exported from Canada. The information will have to be submitted prior to the following timeframes for each service and load port. Each of the named voyages below will be the first vessels requiring compliance. The submission deadlines will remain the same time and day weekly for each service and port.
