The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program (C-TPAT)

The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program (C-TPAT) is a voluntary government-business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen and improve overall international supply chain and U.S. border security.

C-TPAT recognizes that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) can provide the highest level of cargo security only through close cooperation with the ultimate owners of the international supply chain such as importers, carriers, consolidators, licensed customs brokers, and manufacturers. C-TPAT offers trade-related businesses an opportunity to play an active role in the war against terrorism.

By participating in this first worldwide supply chain security initiative, OOCL has ensured a more secure and expeditious supply chain for our employees, suppliers and customers.

Verification Interface

  • CBP has launched a web based C-TPAT Status Verification Interface (SVI), which allows C-TPAT participants the ability to on line query on the status of consenting/certified C-TPAT companies. The website is maintained by CBP.
  • OOCL is a participant in this program.
  • Customers/supply chain partners who are C-TPAT participants and wish to verify the status of OOCL in the program can access the website at - https://ctpat.cbp.dhs.gov/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/Home.aspx
  • The company querying on the status will need to sign into the site with their own ID & password, which would have been assigned to them by CBP.
  • The OOCL partner SVI # for the query is oocSea00592, and is case sensitive.
  • OOCL is also a participant in CIP (Carrier Initiative Program), and PIP (Partners in Protection), a Canada Border Services Agency security initiative.
  • OOCL is not a participant in U S Customs and Border Protection SCIP (Super Carrier Initiative Program), BASC (Business anti-Smuggling Coalition), Americas Counter Smuggling Initiative (ACSI), or Land Border Carrier Initiative Program (LBCIP)
