US - International Trade in Goods and Services March 2008

In May 2008, exports of $148.5 billion and imports of $206.7 billion resulted in a goods and services deficit of $58.2 billion.

In May, the goods and services deficit decreased $4.8 billion from March 2007.

In February 2008, exports of $151.4 billion and imports of $213.7 billion resulted in a goods and services deficit of $62.3 billion.

In February, the goods and services deficit increased $4.1 billion from February 2007.

China - Main Indicators of Foreign Trade and Economy April 2008

China's total import and export in April 2008 amounted to US$220.87 billion, up by 24.0% on a year-on-year basis. Of which export was US$118.77 billion and import US$102.10 billion, up by 21.9% and 26.4% respectively.

China's total import and export in March 2008 amounted to US$204.52 billion, up by 27.8% on a year-on-year basis. Of which export was US$108.96 billion and import US$95.56 billion, up by 30.6% and 24.6% respectively.

China's total import and export in February 2008 amounted to US$166.18 billion, up by 18.4% on a year-on-year basis. Of which export was US$87.37 billion and import US$78.81 billion, up by 6.5% and 35.1% respectively.



Hong Kong - External Merchandise Trade Statistics for April 2008

In April 2008, the value of total exports of goods increased by 14.5% over a year earlier to $243.4 billion, after a year-on-year increase of 7.6% in March 2008.  

Concurrently, the value of imports of goods increased by 11.3% over a year earlier to $259.6 billion in April 2008, after a year-on-year increase of 6.6% in March 2008. 

A visible trade deficit of $16.2 billion, equivalent to 6.2% of the value of imports of goods, was recorded in April 2008.


Hong Kong - External Merchandise Trade Statistics for March 2008

In March 2008, the value of total exports of goods increased by 7.6% over a year earlier to $222.5 billion, at the same rate of year-on-year increase as recorded in February 2008.  

Concurrently, the value of imports of goods increased by 6.6% over a year earlier to $250.7 billion in March 2008, after a year-on-year increase of 11.9% in February 2008. 

A visible trade deficit of $28.1 billion, equivalent to 11.2% of the value of imports of goods, was recorded in March 2008.


Hong Kong - External Merchandise Trade Statistics for February 2008

In February 2008, the value of total exports of goods increased by 7.6% over a year earlier to $184.4 billion, after a year-on-year increase of 15.8% in January 2008.  

Concurrently, the value of imports of goods increased by 11.9% over a year earlier to $200.2 billion in February 2008, after a year-on-year increase of 16.9% in January 2008. 

A visible trade deficit of $15.8 billion, equivalent to 7.9% of the value of imports of goods, was recorded in February 2008.


Hong Kong - External Merchandise Trade Statistics for January 2008

In January 2008, the value of total exports of goods increased by 15.8% over a year earlier to $240.1 billion, after a year-on-year increase of 8.2% in December 2007.  

Concurrently, the value of imports of goods increased by 16.9% over a year earlier to $247.6 billion in January 2008, after a year-on-year increase of 10.3% in December 2007. 

A visible trade deficit of $7.5 billion, equivalent to 3.0% of the value of imports of goods, was recorded in January 2008.
