India - correct bottle seal number needed wef Oct. 1st, 2013
Kindly be informed that as per Indian Customs all the containers which are being discharged on Indian Shores should have a bottle seal. This bottle seal number needs to be correctly declared in the Import General Manifest (IGM) and the Import Advance List (IAL).
Any discrepancy in the seal numbers declared or absence of bottle seals will require a Customs Amendment for correcting the seal number before the Customs will allow the delivery of the containers from the Terminal.
Therefore we kindly urge and request you to ensure the correctness of the above said information.
In case of any mismatch/ discrepancy/non availability of physical bottle seals, the said container will be offloaded in a designated yard in the terminal with delivery being done only after the Customs Amendment. The charges for these containers will be applicable as per tariff.
We solicit your co-operation to provide us with correct information as effective from 1st October’2013, we will not discharge the containers not having bottle seals.
