Trailer Operators' strike at Chennai, India.

Pressing for their demands for repairing the roads leading to and from the Chennai Container terminal to the CFS, the trailer / container lorry operators went on the indefinite strike wef 20th December 2008.  Further they have threatened to intensify the stir if the Concerned Government authority did not meet their demand immediately.

As a result of this Strike by the trailer operator, all the movements of containers both Inbound / Outbound to and from the Chennai container terminal totally affected and all the inbound boxes are lying in the CY of the terminal . 

 We will monitor the situation and keep posted.
