TUTICORIN LORRY OWNERS ASSOCIATION CALL FOR INDIFINITE STRIKE

The Tuticorin lorry owners has called for an indefinite strike fm 18/08/2011 in lieu of various demands and this has affected the trade at Tuticorin adversely.

The movement of cntrs have been badly affected AND  due to on-going indefinite strike of Transporter's as resulted into congestion at the Terminal.  Authorities of Tuticorin Container terminal has taken a decision not to allow berthing of any feeder vessel(s) after MV.Tiger Sky V.342E ETD Tuticorin 24/08/2011, until the strike is called off.

We are closely monitoring the situation and shall keep all posted of all developments.
