TUTICORIN PORT STRIKE CALLED OFF

The workers of PSA Sical container terminal in Tuticorin went on for strike  fm 19th July, 2011 pressing for demands to be full filled by PSA management which was pending for quite some time.

The strike  has been called off fm 1400 hrs 22nd July 2011 and work expected to resume shortly.

As on date container movements in and out of Tuticorin  has come to standstill as more than 3000teus lying inside  terminal of both exports and imports.

Huge backlog /congestion is expected  for a couple of weeks before the Tuticorin Terminal reverts to normalcy.
