Dear Valuable Customer,
Continuing downpour coupled with strong winds in Greater Jakarta has put the capital, once again, into severe gridlock on since Wednesday night and today's The Jakarta Police’s Traffic Management Center reported that as a result of the flood, traffic congestion was seen in several areas in the city.
Floods happen everywhere which caused all access to Sudirman and Thamrin Street as a business centre and offices hampered. All offices deserted because of severe flooding situation affects to the transportation activities of all parts of the city to where work become paralyzed.
The OOCL office in Jakarta fortunately amongst few locations spared from the floodwater in the central business district, but however expects some disruption to our operations as some employees will continue to have difficulty getting to the office, due to road closures and the fact that some residences may still be inaccessible for a few days. All OOCL staff is reportedly safe otherwise, although some have been forced to evacuate.
To anticipate a worse situation especially transportation problems most of the offices in Jakarta has declared half day working today.
Today OOCL Jakarta will close at 11:30 and we shall bring more updates as they become available and necessary.
Regards,
