| Container Detention (Carrier Haulage) | Applied when containers are left at customers' premises either on or off a chassis for longer than the stipulated free time |
| Container Detention (Merchant Haulage) | Applied when containers are retained by customers or their appointed truckers for longer than the stipulated free time |
| Equipment Handover Charge (Lo/Lo) | Covers the costs and administration of releasing containers for import Merchant Haulage. Not applicable for Shippers' Own containers |
| Export Documentation Charge | Administration fee for preparation, validation and issue of export Bills of Lading. Electronic submission means via EDI, My OOCL Center or CargoSmart |
| Freight Handling Fee | Applied where charges are collected in the UK or Ireland as a 3rd country (where they are neither the shipment Origin or Destination country) and covers additional administrative costs incurred by OOCL |
| Foreign-to-Foreign Booking Administration Fee | Applied to bookings taken in the UK or Ireland but for containers loading outside these 2 countries. This covers the additional OOCL administrative costs incurred when co-ordinating these bookings with Operations and / or Customer Service in the country concerned |
| Fumigation / Venting | For Australia / New Zealand trade only. Not available from OOCL in Grangemouth, but can be arranged via a third party on request |
| Genset | Only applicable if a genset is requested at the time of export booking or inbound delivery booking. No gensets are provide for Merchant Haulage |
| Hazardous Cargo Surcharge | For all IMDG except Classes 1 & 7. For these, contact OOCL Sales to cost on a case-by-case basis |
| Heavy Cargo | Billed when cargo weight exceeds the stated threshold |
| Import Bond | Billed when OOCL raises a customs bond to enable customs clearance to be effected at an inland location |
| Import Documentation Charge | Administration fee for preparation or handling of import documentation |
| Inland Fuel Surcharge | Fuel surcharge for all inland transport by road or rail/road combination |

| Late Cancelation | For collections or deliveries where bookings are canceled after 11.30 hrs the prior working day |
| Late SI Fee | Applied if the SI is received after the vessel has sailed, for shipments which are not subject to advance manifesting regulations |
| Live Container Reload Discount | For import containers triangulated with an export load |

| Port Security Fee | Charge to cover International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code compliance costs |
| Proof of Delivery | For provision of a POD (not applicable for PODs supplied electronically via Truckcom) |
| Reefer Haulage Surcharge | Covers the costs of repositioning reefer equipment. Does not include Genset |
| Removal of Dunnage | Charge applied for removing packaging, blocking and bracing material that has been left in a container by an import customer |
| Security Manifest Fee | Charge for advance cargo declaration to customs authorities for cargo loaded on a vessel at a non-US port |
| Shift | When OOCL is asked to arrange a shunt on Southampton terminal other than for fumigation purposes, Westbound Asia-Europe only |
| Special Equipment | For Belfast only, applicable to Hanging Garment containers, In-Gauge Flats & Open Tops, and 45fts |
| Telex Release Fee | Incurred when Bills of Lading covering shipment to a foreign destination are surrendered to OOCL in the UK or Ireland, with a request to release cargo at the destination concerned without local presentation of the Original B/L |
| Terminal Handling Charge | Fee for handling a container in an ocean or feeder terminal |
| Twinning Discount | For 2 x 20ft units loaded on 1 x 40ft chassis |
| UCR Amendment Fee | Applied whenever a UCR has to be changed due to a customer error. Covers the administrative cost incurred by OOCL when we provide HMRC with a completed C1601 form and ask them to update the relevant port user system |
| Vehicle Detention / Driver Waiting Time | Applied when OOCL's driver has to wait for longer than the stipulated free period for a container to be loaded or devanned |
| Weekend or Holiday | For collections or deliveries performed at the weekend or on public holidays |
| Weighing of Containers | Applied when customers ask OOCL to obtain gross vehicle weights before and after loading or devanning (to obtain net cargo weight) |
