In Ireland the total gross vehicle weight (vehicle, chassis, container, genset and cargo) for road haulage must not exceed 44,000 kg (97,000 lb). This generally permits a maximum cargo weight of 26,000 kg (57,319 lbs) based on common equipment weight combinations.
Slightly heavier payloads may be possible, but these will depend on the combined weight of the specific equipment being used. For example, to cater for heavier cargo weights, an especially lightweight vehicle and chassis may have to be sourced, along with a container that is plated for a high payload.
If you wish to transport cargo heavier than 26,000 kg by road in the UK please contact Customer Service in Dublin with details.
This may be handled using special equipment like Open Top or Flat containers. Accurate cargo dimensions and weights are needed to enable appropriate handling and pricing: please contact Dublin office with full specifications.
