OOCL gains Five-Star ranking for top service

OOCL has been accredited as a “Five-star Chinese* shipping company” in the Chinese mainland, by the China Shipping and Port Services Starlight Billboard 2007.  

The accreditation was granted after six weeks of online voting and a general survey on global shipping companies, which incorporated the views of trading companies, forwarders, logistics companies and port and shipping research organisations. 

Votes were based on five criteria: service attitudes, service standards, service capability, service efficiency and corporate responsibility. “Unsatisfactory” was rated with zero points, “Good” was given 1 point; and the best score, 5 points, was ranked as a five-star standard. 

As the only Shipping and Ports Services Billboard in China, the “Starlight”, now in its fourth year,  has become the most famous evaluation brand name in the industry. The billboard’s philosophy of “Service – vitality of life” is becoming increasingly recognised as the survey becomes more influential and garners positive feedback from industry players.
