1. The Merchant shall comply with all rules, laws, regulations or requirements of customs, port and other authorities, and shall bear and pay all duties, taxes, fines, imposts, expenses or losses incurred or suffered by reason thereof or by reason of any illegal, incorrect or insufficient description, marking, numbering or addressing of the Goods, and indemnify the Carrier in respect thereof
 
2. If the Carrier is obliged to handover the Goods or any part thereof into the custody of any customs, port or other authority, such handover shall constitute due delivery of the Goods or any part thereof   to the Merchant under this Bill of Lading.
