Demurrage & Detention Free Time and Charges

Export / Import DEMURRAGE (Free time & Charge*)

1. Definition of Key Terms

Export Demurrage Export Cargo free time shall commence at 0001 hours on the day when the container has been gated into carrier's Container Yard (CY) and the last day of free time would be the advertised CY closing date.
Import Demurrage Import Cargo free time shall commence at 00:00am from the calendar day after completion of discharge of the vessel and shall expire at 00:00am on laden container gate-out day.
Free time & Charge* *= currency in KRW Korean Won & US Dollar, per container per calendar day.

3. Remarks

  • (R1)= Including Hangertainer, Hazardous cargo, Awkward Cargo (Oversized or uncontainerized), Special Equipment (Open Top, Flat Rack).



Export / Import DETENTION (Free time & Charge*)

1. Definition of Key Terms

Export Detention Equipment free time shall commence at 0001 from the day when the removal of the equipment from carrier's facility until the laden container return back to the carrier's CY.
Import Detention Equipment free time shall commence at 0001 from the day when the day of gate-out from carrier's facility until the empty container return back to the carrier's CY.
Free time & Charge* *= currency in KRW Korean Won & US Dollar, per container per calendar day.
