Customer Advisory: OOCL New Inbond Services In Mexico

​​We are pleased to announce that OOCL is now offering Inbond services to the following customs areas:

  1. Manzanillo – Monterrey, Guadalajara Silao and Ciudad de Mexico.
  2. Lazaro Cardenas- Ciudad de Mexico y Monterrey.
  3. Veracruz- Ciudad de Mexico.

This service is only applicable to import shipments moving via rail.

In order to process the Inbond services, we will need the following legal documentation for the first time utilizing our OOCL services:

  1. Taxpayer Registration Certificate (not older than 3 months).
  2. Legal representative ID (INE).
  3. Proof of address (within the past 3 months).
  4. Incorporation Act.
  5. Encargo Conferido should be registered as follows:
    1. Veracruz & Manzanillo: Patent 1614 Jose Luis Saldana Camacho
    2. Lazaro Cardenas. Patent 3545 Jorge Felix Tena Betancourt.

In addition, we do require the following documentation on a shipment level:

  1. Invoice
  2. Packing List
  3. BL release.
  4. Letter of Instructions for Manzanillo or Veracruz
  5. Letter of Instruction for Lazaro Cardenas
  6. Complemento Carta Porte
  7. Entrustment letter

Please note that processing time can take up to 48-72 working hours. Inbond approvals require Mexico Customs Authority review as well as customs broker assigned. OOCL is not responsible for any negative outcome.

Inbond services include lift and THC at port of discharge and lift off at rail ramp. Any other additional charges registered by the terminal and rail vendor will be invoiced directly to the importer. The designated customs broker will be responsible for sending the invoice for payment before cargo release is being performed at the rail ramp.
