1. Road Limitations

• Max weight limit on the road is usually 27 tons but this may vary depending on some specific restrictions imposed by Government and isolated destinations.

2. Port Restrictions

• Restrictions for discharge, transit or loading on certain hazardous cargo apply : imco 1, 5 and 7 which must apply for acceptance case by case, permits to be legalised in advance of direct discharge or loading to/from truck, imposed.

3. Customs Requirements

• All cargo imported and exported must be declared prior to arrival and departure. Inbound cargo originating from ouside the European Community must also be cleared through Customs by submission of import declarations / payment of duties and taxes.
  
• Usually no congestion. Speedy throughput of Customs formalities and the geographical location affords easy movement of cargo.
