Canadian Gateway North Atlantic Trade – Route 3 service temporarily suspended

As a result of economic developments, members of the St. Lawrence Coordinated Services (SLCS) would like to advise that the Route-3 service from Montreal to Europe (Hapag-Lloyd’s SLCS3 service and OOCL’s GEX3 service) will be temporarily suspended, with immediate effect.

The SLCS Route-1 service (SLCS1/ GEX1) will be upgraded through the injection of additional tonnage, allowing Liverpool to be added to the existing weekly rotation. New port rotation is as follows: Liverpool/ Antwerp/ Southampton/ Le Havre/ Montreal.

The Route-2 weekly service (SLCS2/ GEX2) covering Hamburg and Antwerp will remain unchanged.

The SLCS has been in operation for more than 30 years. It offers the most comprehensive year-round service network with deployment of purpose built tonnage.  Members will continue to closely monitor the trade patterns to ensure the future needs of our customers are fully met.

SLCS members include Hapag-Lloyd (Germany) and OOCL (Hong Kong).
