OOCL Upgrades its Scandinavian Express Service (SBX)

OOCL is pleased to announce the upgrading of their existing SBX service with the addition of a sixth vessel with a nominal capacity of 1000 TEU’s. She will be deployed directly into our SBX1 network increasing our capacity by 5%. Our SBX2 network will be upgraded from two vessels to three vessels with the phasing in of the OOCL Nevskiy from the SBX1, thereby increasing our weekly capacity by 45%. The overall capacity increase across our entire SBX network will be 20%. 

We will add Kotka to the SBX2 rotation in addition to a second call at St. Petersburg, which will be calling at Petrolesport (PLP). We will maintain 3 weekly calls to St. Petersburg First Container Terminal (FCT).

Rotterdam / Antwerp / St. Petersburg / Gdynia / Gothenburg / Hamburg / Gdynia / St. Petersburg / Rotterdam

SBX2 Rotation – enhancement.

Hamburg / St. Petersburg / Kotka / Rauma / Gavle / Bremerhaven / Hamburg / Klaipeda / St. Petersburg / Hamburg

The increase in capacity and additional port coverage continues to show OOCL’s commitment to the growing Baltic markets and our customer requirement.

Our new service is scheduled to commence from Hamburg May 15, 2011.
