Customer Advisories Dear customer,

As part of the 'Safety and Security Amendment' to the (EU) Community Customs Code a single registration number for economic operators that engage in (EU) customs activities will become mandatory as from 1 July 2009. The number is called 'Economic Operators Registration and Identification number' (EORI).

For economic operators EORI should reduce the administrative burden and simplify procedures, and for customs officers it should facilitate the identification of security risks and streamline procedures.

Audits by Customs have evidenced that OOCL (Sweden) AB's role in the international supply chain is secure, has proven solvency and that the customs controls and procedures performed are efficient and compliant.

OOCL SBX 1 service to commence weekly calls in Gothenburg OOCL's SBX1 (Scan Baltic Express) weekly service will now be making direct calls in Gothenburg, commencing with OOCL Finland 16th April 2009 This will allow improved transit time and schedule reliability for Swedish export cargo to Asia, North America and Australia via Hamburg.
