1. Road Limitations
- Maximum width: 3.0 meters
- Maximum height: 4.2 meters
- Maximum gross weight (cargo + container + tractor + chassis + Genset if any): 42 tons
- Cargo weight should not exceed container maximum payload
- Two 20 footers on one chassis is allowed but the maximum gross weight must not exceed 35 tons
- Any violation against above regulation will incur heavy penalty (at least US$550 per container) and the overweight portion should be devanned from the container on the spot.
Remarks:
- Normal tractor + chassis: 11.5 tons
- Normal tractor + chassis + Genset: 12.5 tons
2. Terminal Limitations
- Gantry Crane Maximum Capacity: 40 Tons
- Non-working Days:
- Lunar New Year Holidays
- Tomb Sweeping Festival (Apr 5th)
- Labor Day (May 1st 08:00 to May 2nd 08:00)
- Moon Festival (night shift only)
3. Transshipment Restrictions
Following cargoes are prohibited from transshipment at Taiwan:
- Ammunition
- Radioactive materials
- Dangerous Cargoes IMCO classes 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.5/1.6/2.2/2.3/3.1.
- Dangerous Cargoes IMCO classes 1.4/2.1/3.1/4.2/6.1 are allowed to be transshipped at Kaohsiung but subject to prior approval.
4. Dangerous Cargo
- Radioactive materials are prohibited
- IMCO classes 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.5/1.6/4.2 are not allowed to be stored at terminal. Immediate ship side loading/delivery is required.
5. Customs Requirements
- Full name and address of Inbound Consignee/Notify Party/Also Notify Party in the country is required. A P.O. Box address is not acceptable.
- Actual piece count must be declared. The units of Package, Skid, Pallet and Bundle are not acceptable.
- If contents of customers' declaration does not match with carriers' Import Manifest details, amendments must be made within 24 hours after the Import Manifest is submitted to the Customs Office by the carrier.
