Export Cargo Shipping Instructions (Bill of Lading Instructions)

The ECSI should be submitted, by the required cutoff, to our export documentation department. This can be done online or by email. See our Local Contacts page for relevant email addresses and telephone numbers.

To help us create the Bill of Lading accurately, customers are encouraged to use a form which a number of our clients already use: this can be downloaded HERE. Helpful advice on how to complete this is available from SITPRO. For shipments against Letters of Credit, please feel free to provide us with a copy of the LC as well, to ensure the B/L complies. 

OOCL will then provide a draft B/L for customers to check and approve before final issue of the Original B/L or Sea Waybill (Express B/L). These can be issued as PDFs by email. If desired, Original B/Ls can be uploaded to My OOCL Center for customers to download themselves.
