Increase to Fuel Surcharge for United Kingdom (Great Britain & Northern Ireland)
It is with regret we advise that effective September 15th 2008, our inland fuel surcharge will increase. Whilst this increase comes at a time when we see the price of diesel fuel on the forecourt dropping; please note that for several months we have been absorbing the last increase we granted our service providers. Given the present environment and deterioration of rates on our major trade routes, we can no longer absorb part of the fuel surcharge we pay our hauliers.
Therefore, our inland fuel surcharge will increase from 14% to 16% from September 15th 2008. Regulatory bodies have been advised. This adjustment will affect import deliveries and export collections to and from all our UK ports.
The effective date is:
- The day goods are received for shipment on the Transatlantic trade lanes
- The day goods are received on board our Asian / Australian services
- The sailing date for our Intra European services
