Short Notice Export Collections

Dear Customers,

OOCL is committed to providing quality service to its customers. To allow the effective management of changing demand, and to enable the securing of quality haulage in advance in a volatile market, OOCL requests that export bookings involving carrier haulage out of England and Wales are made at least 2 full working days prior to the collection date.

We will continue to accept next working day bookings, however these will be subject to a additional charge of £150 to offset the additional operation costs.

e.g. bookings loading on Thursdays should be placed by the preceding Tuesday in order to avoid the additional haulage fee.

We also encourage customers to accept p.m. collections where possible.

This Short Notice Collection Surcharge will apply to bookings placed from 19th July 2010 onwards, and covers all shipments except those on the Transatlantic which are FMC-regulated.
