In order to continue providing quality and sustainable services in our Asia Europe Trade, we are announcing a Revenue Restoration Program for December and also the implementation of a Peak Season Surcharge in January.

Westbound Asia-Europe Revenue Restoration
Dear Customers, Ocean freight rates for the Asia to Europe Trade have been below the required level to cover basic operating costs for a prolonged period. Considering the need to provide sustainable services for the long term, we are announcing a revenue restoration program. With effect from August 1, 2012, freight rates for Westbound traffic from Asia to Europe will be increased by US$ 300 per TEU. This change covers shipments from the Far East (including Japan), Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East

Melbourne Port License Fee
The Victorian Government introduced the Port Management Amendment (Port of Melbourne Corporation License Fee) Bill 2011 which proposed that the Port of Melbourne Corporation be required to pay an annual Port License Fee.
