OOCL awarded "Carrier of the Year 2009" at CIFFA Forwarder's Choice Awards for Western Region
OOCL was the proud winner of "Carrier of the Year " at the 2009 Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association's Western Region's Forwarder's Choice Award Ceremony.
For the second year in a row, OOCL swept the awards in three categories.
- Far East Ocean Carrier 2009
- U.K. – Northern Europe Ocean Carrier 2009
- Carrier of the Year 2009
Every year the three CIFFA regions award a prize for service quality, transit times and reliability to the best shipping and air-freight companies on the most important trade routes. The nominations are based on a survey of the association’s members and verification by an independent commission.
The Central Division has the largest density of Freight Forwarders and OOCL has won this particular Award as Best Carrier from Central Canada to the Far East in 2009 – 2008 – 2007 – 2006 – 2003 – 2002 – 2001 – 2000 which is a great testament of our customers support relationship and confidence in our company during these many years.
Since 1999, OOCL has accepted ten awards from CIFFA Central Region, eleven from CIFFA Western Region and one from CIFFA Eastern Region, including twelve as the Best Ocean Carrier between Canada and Far East, three as the Best Ocean Carrier between Canada and Europe and four times as the "Ocean Carrier of the Year."
CIFFA was founded in Montreal as early as 1948, to establish a professional level in the industry, with uniform quality standards. Today the association is divided into three regions – West, East and Central Canada.
