Customer Advisory: General Rate Increase for Transpacific Eastbound shipments

Most are well aware of the rapid deterioration in freight rates over the past months, and the associated negative financial impact it has brought to the shipping industry.

In order for OOCL to continue providing you with our committed quality services necessary to satisfy your transportation requirements, we hereby tender our notice of a scheduled general rate increase of US$500 per standard 40’ container with other sizes of container per formula for all Transpacific Eastbound shipments, to be applicable to your contract effective August 10, 2009.
