Dangerous Goods Restrictions in Guangzhou Ports
During 2010 National Day,
Guangzhou Asian Games & Asian Para Games
Dear Customers,
We would like to bring you the attention that, according to the publication issued by Guangzhou Port Authority on 6 September, 2010, regarding the safety control of dangerous goods (DG) in Guangzhou Ports during National Day, Guangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games 2010 with details as below:
- Impose safety control measures by strengthening the management of port operations on DG during the below control period:
- National Day - From 30th September 30, 2010 18:00 to 8th October 08:00
- Asian Games & Asian Para Games – From 31st October, 2010 18:00 to 1st January 2011 08:00
- During the control period of Asian Games & Asian Para Games, the application of dangerous goods will be suspended by Guangzhou Port Authority.
- During the control period, NO port operation on explosive, virulent and dangerous chemicals is allowed.
- During the control period, all explosives, poisonous material, key chemicals and gas, ammonium nitrate materials will be prohibited for storage at any ports.
You are reminded to arrange the shipment well in advance. If any demurrage/ detention incurred, due to such temporary restrictions from concerned ports during the above control period, will be on account of cargo.
