Grand Alliance will be using the Port of Tacoma

Dear Valued Customers:

Hapag Lloyd, NYK, and OOCL, as members of the Grand Alliance (GA), have unanimously agreed to move their Pacific North West (PNW) operations to the Port of Tacoma, Washington.  The GA has been a long-time supporter of the Port of Seattle in Washington, but after an extensive deliberation process, the GA finally reached this difficult decision recognizing the value proposition offered by the Port of Tacoma. The GA’s new home will be at the Washington United Terminal in Tacoma (WUT).

The GA will have three PNW services calling weekly at the WUT.  The GA will receive strong support from Labor, WUT Terminal management, and Tacoma Port Authority who have committed to make the service availability an attractive option for the shipping public.  With all the local support, the GA is assured to be a priority choice for the PNW service for many years to come.

For further information, please contact our local sales representatives.  Thank you.
