Customer Advisory - Global Gateway South Terminal Advance Appointments Required

**Updated Aug 26, 2014**

Global Gateway South (GGS) Terminal in Los Angeles and Eagle Marine Services (EMS) continue to implement an appointment system for import container pick up, and have provided updated information regarding this practice below.

How You Can Help:
1. Make appointments as early as possible.
2. Before your drivers come to the terminal, confirm that units are on wheels at EagleMarineServices.com (search tool on lower portion of home page, no login required).
3. Do not cancel your appointment if your container isn’t mounted. Once mounted, the appointment will be honored even though the set time has passed.

EMS Operating Practices
• Containers must be wheeled prior to pick-up.
• Grounded containers are mounted based on appointment time.
• If a container goes past Last Free Day due to EMS failure to mount, free time will be extended.

EMS Appointment Policies
• Except for live reefers, all Import containers require an appointment to be made at eModal.com.
• Appointments for grounded containers must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
• Containers must be free of all holds in order to make an appointment.
