NOTICE TO IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS

Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge
Northern Europe and Baltic Ports

As from 19th May 2006, the Baltic Sea was designated a special area under the MARPOL 73/78 Convention requiring vessels operating in the area to use fuel oil with a sulphur content not exceeding 1.5%. In response, a Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge was introduced for ports in the area affected by this requirement. The EU has subsequently extended the low-sulphur fuel requirement’s application to cover the North Sea and English Channel, with effect from 11th August 2007.

Therefore OOCL wishes to announce that the Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge already in place in the Baltic will now be extended to the North Sea and the English Channel, charged at USD5/TEU, on August 11th 2007. From this date the Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge will apply to shipments both inbound and outbound calling at French ports from Brest eastwards, all ports of Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Baltic ports of Russia, all ports of Finland, Sweden and Norway. The ports of the United Kingdom and Eire are also included.

OOCL is one of the world's leading container transport and logistics service providers, with more than 230 offices in 58 countries. Linking Asia, Europe, North America, the Mediterranean, the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and Australia/New Zealand, the company offers transportation services to all major east/west trading economies of the world.

Yours faithfully,
OOCL (Australia) Pty Ltd.
