Rate Restoration East Asia Trades
China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea

In order to maintain the high level of service demanded by the trade, shipping lines need to apply the rate restoration programme advised earlier this year.

This is to confirm that the Rate Restoration of US$350 per teu will be implemented as from 15th September 2007. The restoration applies to refrigerated and general cargo loading in the East Asia area.

Introduction of Critical Bunker Recovery (CBR)

Operators of feeder services in the India Sub Continent area have imposed a Critical Bunker Recovery charge with immediate effect.

Accordingly all shipments from Australia to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka will be assessed a CBR of US$50/20’and US$100/40’.  Although the feeder operators are implementing immediately, OOCL will be implementing from 1st September 2007, in order that exporters may at least receive a notice of implementation.
