Important Notice to Importers

ELECTRONIC IMPORT DELIVERY ORDERS

OOCL is pleased to advise that Electronic Import Delivery Orders (E-IDO) will commence from August 20^th.  This means that containers can be collected from the terminals by way of PIN number identification subject to having met required conditions for the shipment.

The first discharge ports and vessels from which E-IDO’s will be available are listed below:

From these vessels, subject to the normal clearance process being completed and payment arrangements being made, E-IDO’s will be automatically sent by email to the consignee showing on the bill.

For customers using original Bills of Lading, these will need to surrendered as usual after which either the E-IDO email will be released or if still required, the paper Delivery Order will be issued.

In order to facilitate E-IDO process, it will be necessary to have your full email details registered with us and are invited to pre register prior to August 20^th to minimize any possible delay and to insure that we have the correct details in place.

Please note that more than one address is possible, although we recommend use of a group email to make sure that the email is received within your company.

Additionally, should you require release of the E-IDO to an agent, we will need your authority via our standard OOCL Letter of Authority.  Please request one in your response and we will email it to you.
