Further to a review of our processes, we have found that the incidents of late Shipping Instruction lodgment, amendments to Bills of Lading after confirmation, late freight payment and express releases of bills of lading are causing delays and additional costs.
Unfortunately these situations have an impact on overall efficiency due to re-work and also affect our legal requirements to timely complete manifests prior to vessel arrival at destination.
As a result, we are introducing the following fees to take effect from September 1st 2008. Implementation for the USA trade will be after completion of filing with FMC.
Late Shipping Instruction Lodgment Fee
Any shipping instruction lodged over 2 days calendar days after the vessel departs will be charged a Late Shipping Instruction fee of A$60.00 + GST per shipping instruction.
Bill of Lading Amendment Fee
A Bill of Lading amendment fee will be charged for bills of lading amended subsequent to a bill of lading being confirmed correct. A Bill of Lading Amendment Fee of A$60.00 plus GST per bill of lading will be charged.
Late Freight Payment Fee
A Late Freight Payment Fee will be charged for freight not being paid before the 10th day after a vessel sails from the loading port. The Late Payment of Freight Fee will be A$60.00 + GST per bill of lading.
Express Release Fee
The Express Release Fee (previously known as Telex Release). This fee will be A$60.00 + GST per release.
These fees can easily be avoided by complying with timeframes outlined and paying particular care to documentation accuracy. Additionally our Customer Service team will endeavor to liaise with you to try and obtain the required information prior to the charges being incurred.
