Adjustment to Melbourne Port Service Charge
Following changes in port costs and charges in Melbourne, and the implementation of the Channel Infrastructure Fee by the Port of Melbourne Corporation, a review of the Melbourne Port Service Charges has been completed.
Effective from 1st April, 2008, the new Port Service Charges on Melbourne dry and refrigerated cargo will be

Import port service charges are subject to GST.
The Melbourne port service charges are levied on all cargo crossing over the Melbourne wharf, either for Melbourne delivery or relaying to other destinations.
