Introduction of Inland Container Depot Charge
in Thailand
Exporters and importers are advised that an Inland Container Depot (ICD) charge for import and export cargo that moves to or from a port via an ICD will be introduced from 1st May 2008. The ICD charge is for partial recompense for the cost of the movement.
The ICD charge will be applied at the level of US$75/20’ and US$100/40’ to both general and refrigerated cargo. The charges will be payable by the freight payer.
These new charges will be implemented on cargo loading from 1st May 2008.
