OOCL Announces a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS)
On Exports cargo to Chennai & Nhava Sheva

Due to the congestion being experienced in Chennai and Nhava Sheva with consequent delays and additional expenses being incurred, OOCL will be introducing a Congestion Surcharge on export cargo from Australia and New Zealand for these ports.

The PCS will be US$150/20’ and US$300/40’ and will be in effect from vessels sailing Australian ports on or after 13th December, 2010.

Manual Documentation Fee (DOC/DCF)

Exporters and importers are advised that the documentation fee for manual bills of lading or delivery orders will adjusted upward to A$70.00 per bill of lading with effect 1st January, 2011.  The documentation fee on electronic lodgment of Shipping Instructions will remain unchanged at A$45.00 per bill of lading.  Customers are recommended to use electronic lodgment to increase efficiency and minimize costs.

EU24 Hour Customs Manifest Rule
ENS Filing and Amendment Fees

With the introduction of the EU24 Hour manifest filing rule from 1st January, 2011, an advance manifest is required on all vessels arriving in any EU country on or after 1 Jan 2011.  The requirement is for all cargo on board, with destination to and EU country, or even transiting any EU country is required to have a manifest filed.

The charges are as the table below:

The implementation is for cargo being loaded from Singapore from 1st January, 2011.
