Detention Rates on Import Containers
In view of increasing costs and the need for empty containers to be returned faster the following detention charges will be levied on overdue import containers. The new levels are summarised in the table below. They will be effective for vessel arriving first port Australia on or after 15th February.

Container Security Fee
Escalating administrative costs coupled with the increasing costs for the provision of security equipment, requires us to increase the security charge on export cargo to US$14 per container with effect from 15th February, 2010.
For coastal cargo, where additional expenses are involved, the charge will be US20 per container.
