Emergency Risk Surcharge (EMC)

for UAE, Saudi Arabia and Middle East

 

Taking into consideration of the tensions in the Straits of Hormuz area and increasing operating & insurance costs of our services, OOCL will implement an Emergency Risk Surcharge (EMC) in order to recover the additional cost incurred, for all cargoes both Australia and New Zealand shipments to and from UAE, Saudi Arabia and Middle East with details as follows:

 

Southbound

Origin: UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia (except Jeddah), Kuwait and Iraq

Destination: Australia and New Zealand

Quantum: US$50 per TEU

Effective date: 15th July 2019 based on onboard date

Payment Term: freight payer

 

Northbound

Origin: Australia and New Zealand

Destination: UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia (except Jeddah), Kuwait and Iraq

Quantum: US$50/TEU

Effective date: 5th August 2019 based on onboard date

Payment Term: Freight payer
