Immediate Booking Acceptance Reopen to Australia - AAA network - Excluding Sydney
Immediate
Booking Acceptance Reopen to Australia
AAA network -
Excluding Sydney
Dear
Customer,
Further
to our notice on 30th September advising of a temporary southbound
booking suspension
on the AAA network.
OOCL
welcome the progress in negotiations between stakeholders that has seen the announcement
of a withdrawal of any further industrial action during October.
Despite
this good news, the significant schedule disruption around the Australian coast
will take time
to improve. Whilst we anticipate most ports will see improvements within 10
days, Sydney
congestion
may take up to 3 weeks to improve.
Based
on this, excluding Sydney, OOCL is pleased to advise that with immediate
effect booking acceptance will resume from Asia, Middle East, Indian
sub-continent, Europe, North America, Latin America and Africa to Australian
ports covered by the AAA1/AAA2/ASA/AWX services.
Sydney
temporary booking suspension will remain. OOCL will be constantly reviewing
Sydney Port
congestion conditions and all alternatives in an effort to reopen booking
acceptance to
Sydney
as soon as possible. We will provide customers with an update by 16th
October.
For
reefer bookings, we ask you to contact your local sales or customer service
representative to discuss the available options.
Thank
you for your understanding on this difficult decision, and we look forward to
your ongoing support in the future.
Should
you have any queries regards the above, please contact your local sales executive
or Customer Service team.
Yours
faithfully,
OOCL (Australia) Pty Ltd.
