OOCL A3N Service Enhancement - Upsizing & Ningbo Port Call
OOCL A3N Service Enhancement: Upsizing & Ningbo Port Call
With increased capacity and a new port of call, Australian importers and exporters will benefit from the enhancement to OOCL's Asia-Australia Northern Express (A3N) service.
Starting in Week 28, A3N will upsize vessels and introduce a new port call at Ningbo, China. The first vessel is scheduled to arrive in Ningbo on July 8, 2025, marking a significant milestone in OOCL's Asia/Australia network. OOCL will offer two direct sailings per week from Ningbo to East Coast Australia besides current A3C service which already provides the fastest transit time from Ningbo to Sydney; the new A3N will provide the fastest transit time from Ningbo to Melbourne which enhances our network through one of China's busiest and most strategic ports.
The A3N remains the only direct weekly service from East Coast Australia to Yokohama and Osaka. With northbound calls into Pusan and Qingdao, it is the top service for Australian exporters of dry and reefer cargo to Japan, Korea, and North China.
The updated A3N port rotation is as follows:
- Northbound: Melbourne – Sydney – Brisbane – Yokohama – Osaka – Pusan – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaohsiung
- Southbound: Yokohama – Osaka – Pusan – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaohsiung – Melbourne – Sydney – Brisbane
